Guide to Holiday Tablescapes
Use our simple holiday tablescape formula to build your own beautiful holiday table!
Supply List
-One garland, more of less the length of the table.
-A selection of fruit or florals within one to two colors.
-A selection of candleholders (one color/metal.)
-Tablecloth or matching placemats.
-Plates that match or coordinate (stick to one or two colors here.)
-Silver Flatware & clear glassware--mix and match totally works here!
Step One
Lay out your placemats or tablecloth on the table and place the garland down the center of the table.
Keep the length either just slightly shorter than the length of the table or let it flow over both ends.
Step Two
Start placing your candleholders down the table and tucking them in to the garland. A couple different arrangement options are...
(1) a pair of candelabras placed equidistant on the table. Leave as is or add in periodic taper candle holders all along the length of the table.
(2) select a larger number of candle holders and tuck them in the sides of the garland going all the way along the length of the table.
Step Three
Start placing fruit or florals of your choosing throughout the garland and around the candle holders
Step Four
Set out plates, cutlery and glassware
Select dishes within one to two color stories and stick to one metal for cutlery and napkin rings.
Step Five
Adding in Extras
Incorporate pieces like gravy boats, pitchers and other holiday serving pieces. Maybe even a charcuterie board at one end of the table!
