Antique American Blanket Chest, early 19th c

A beautifully simple antique American trunk in a warm mid-tone wood, rich with natural patina and timeworn character. Circa 1800-1830. Its clean lines are complemented by charming cut-out side details, adding a subtle handcrafted personality. Originally a blanket chest, it offers generous storage and timeless appeal. 

In addition to the common use of trunks at the foot of the bed, we especially love to use them in an entry (think hidden shoe or pet storage) or next to a couch as a charming side table or coffee table.
