An early 19th century New England pine mule chest from the Federal period, circa 1800–1820. Features a lift top opening to a generous blanket compartment. The façade features two false drawer fronts above two functional drawers fitted with brass Federal-style bail pulls. A classic early American form combining blanket chest storage with practical drawers.
